Gilbert Family Foundation Invests in Equity Alliance of Michigan’s Entrepreneurial Expansion


Equity Alliance of Michigan is proud to be featured by the Gilbert Family Foundation following their $750,000 investment in our Entrepreneurial Support Expansion initiative—a major step forward in expanding access to resources for Detroit’s small business owners.


This partnership supports the growth of our Entrepreneur Drop-In Program and the development of a new 2,000-square-foot Entrepreneur Hub within our Resiliency Hub. The space will serve as a central resource for entrepreneurs seeking mentorship, training, co-working space, and access to capital, with specialized support for food-based and early-stage businesses.


With this expansion, Equity Alliance of Michigan expects to more than double the number of entrepreneurs we serve annually—reaching over 1,500 individuals each year—and help launch at least 50 new sustainable businesses across Detroit.
