Annual Community Day & Bike Giveaway

Each summer, Equity Alliance of Michigan brings families, neighbors, and friends together to kick off the season in style at our Annual Community Day & Bike Giveaway. This vibrant celebration is more than just free food, games, and a bounce house—it’s our way of launching summer with joy, connection, and community pride.

Event Highlights

• Free Bike Giveaway: Registered children who attend receive a complimentary bike—nearly 300 were handed out at last year’s event!

• Community Bike Ride: Pedal through the neighborhood alongside friends old and new.

• Family Fun Zone: Enjoy lawn games, music, and delicious refreshments.

• Bounce House & Activities: Let the little ones burn off energy in our bounce house and craft corner.
   

Why We Do It
By giving away bikes, we empower our youth to explore the warm months ahead with healthy, active play and safe neighborhood adventures. Community Day reflects our mission to uplift Detroit families, celebrate the spirit of our neighborhoods, and create safe, supportive spaces where everyone can thrive.
