Our 3rd Annual Back to School Backpack Drive was a tremendous success and a true reflection of community coming together for our youth. Thanks to the incredible support of over 20 dedicated volunteers, we were able to create a fun, family-centered event that ensured students walked into the school year prepared and confident.

 

Volunteers helped distribute backpacks filled with supplies, organize activities, and provide families with the extra support needed to kick off the year strong. The energy and teamwork on display reminded us of the power of collective effort in uplifting our children and their futures.

 

A special shout-out goes to the barbers and hairdressers who generously donated their time and talent to give kids fresh haircuts and styles, helping them look and feel their very best as they head back to school. Their contribution added an extra layer of excitement and confidence for our young scholars.

 

This event wasn’t just about backpacks—it was about empowerment, encouragement, and showing our families that the community stands with them every step of the way. Together, we celebrated another milestone in building brighter beginnings for Detroit’s next generation.
